Pakistan batter Babar Azam has surged five places in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) Test Batting Rankings to secure the 10th spot.
Babar’s jump from 15th to 10th follows a standout performance in the two-Test series against the West Indies, where he accumulated 193 runs and earned the Player of the Series award. This marks his return to the top tier after falling out of the top 10 in September 2024.
Meanwhile, Pakistani opener Abdullah Shafique achieved a major boost, climbing 25 positions to 32nd in the batting charts after scoring 160 and an unbeaten 24 in the second Test. In the bowling department, West Indies’ Shamar Joseph moved to 19th, while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Sajid Khan settled at 29th and 30th respectively. Australia’s Travis Head leads the Test batting rankings, while India’s Jasprit Bumrah holds the top position among bowlers.
