– The Balochistan High Court has ordered the formation of a high-level judicial commission to investigate the deadly terrorist attack targeting police personnel in Ziarat.
Heading the commission under the Balochistan Tribunal of Inquiries Ordinance 1969, Justice Muhammad Hashim Khan Kakar will lead the inquiry into the ambush near the DIG Office, which claimed the lives of multiple officers, including two Station House Officers (SHOs).
The tribunal’s scope of work includes assessing pre-attack threat intelligence, evaluating security deployments, examining potential security oversights or negligence, and summoning relevant officials.
Additionally, the BHC has appealed to the public and media sources to submit relevant evidence or testimonies to the commission’s office at the High Court. Upon completion of proceedings, the commission will present a comprehensive report alongside measures to fortify police security.
