.A fire incident occurred in underground HT cables near Faizan-e-Madina Mosque and Askari Park Gate No. 1 in Karachi’s PIB Colony. According to the spokesperson for Sindh Rescue 1122, fire and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene upon receiving the alert.
According to rescue authorities, a fire erupted inside an excavated underground pit near the main gate of Askari Park on University Road, where underground power cables run. The spokesperson stated that thanks to the timely response of Rescue 1122, the fire was brought under control, and cooling operations are currently underway.
Tragically, during the incident, a completely burned body of an unidentified person was recovered from the pit. According to rescue officials, electrical tools were also found near the deceased individual. The identity of the burned body remains unknown so far, and police have launched an investigation into the incident.
