International financial institutions and global market research firm IPSOS have highlighted positive shifts in Pakistan’s economic indicators, pointing to rising consumer confidence and structural stabilization.
According to the latest Consumer Confidence Index survey conducted by IPSOS, Pakistan’s overall consumer confidence index rose by 0.4 points to reach 33.6. The survey revealed that 24 percent of respondents now believe the national economy is heading in the right direction, up from 11 percent in August 2024. Additionally, the proportion of individuals optimistic about future economic improvements increased to nearly 23 percent, compared to 12 percent recorded two years prior.
The report noted incremental gains in purchasing confidence, with satisfaction regarding routine household expenditure rising by 3 percent to reach 10 percent. Similarly, consumer confidence regarding major capital investments, such as purchasing homes or vehicles, registered a 2 percent increase to land at 7 percent.
