Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has stated that the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs will never be forgotten.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited the Peshawar Corps Headquarters, where he was briefed on the prevailing security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Field Marshal was also informed about ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the province, border management, and the operational readiness of deployed formations.
According to ISPR, the Army Staff stated that the armed forces, backed by the unwavering support of the nation, are fully resolved to eradicate terrorism and establish sustainable peace and stability across the country.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir praised the high morale, preparedness, and professional competence of the officers and troops, while paying tribute to their steadfastness in ensuring public safety and security. The Army Chief instructed the formations to remain continuously vigilant and maintain the highest level of operational readiness.
Upon his arrival in Peshawar, the Army Chief and Chief of Defense Forces was received by the Corps Commander Peshawar. Earlier, he laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs’ Monument and offered Fateha, paying rich tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives in defense of the motherland and in the war against terrorism.
