The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has announced major progress toward launching its long-anticipated “GCC Grand Tours Visa,” a unified regional permit designed to allow international tourists to travel seamlessly across all six member states using a single entry document.Modeled after Europe’s Schengen system, the single digital visa covers Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and Bahrain. Speaking at a regional summit, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi confirmed that technical integration between interior ministries is nearing completion, clearing the path for an upcoming digital pilot phase before a full multi-country rollout.
Streamlined Digital Applications & Travel Logistics
Under the unified framework, international visitors and business travelers will be able to submit a single online application, eliminating the need to secure separate visas, pay repetitive administrative fees, or navigate multiple entry portals when visiting neighboring Gulf destinations. Industry analysts project the unified visa will boost intra-regional tourism arrivals significantly, increasing average visitor stays across the GCC corridor.
