National women’s team spinner Nashra Sandhu established a new record in Twenty20 International (T20I) cricket for Pakistan after delivering a historic bowling performance against Hong Kong in the Women’s Asia Cup.
The left-arm spinner conceded just seven runs while taking six wickets in her four overs, helping Pakistan secure a 72-run victory. Sandhu’s performance marks the first time any bowler, male or female, has taken six wickets in a T20I match for Pakistan.
Previously, the best T20I bowling figures for Pakistan women were held by Omaima Sohail with 5 for 13 against Sri Lanka, while the overall best across men’s and women’s T20Is for Pakistan belonged to Sufyan Moqim, who claimed 5 for 3 against Zimbabwe.
