Technology giant Samsung has announced plans to deprecate two of its prominent augmented reality (AR) applications, AR Doodle and Quick Measure, officially removing them from the Galaxy Store after
Samsung disclosed the upcoming deprecation through updated changelogs on the Galaxy Store. Several recent flagship devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 8, already lack pre-installed support for these tools. AR Doodle enables users to draw virtual 3D sketches anchored to physical objects or faces via the camera, while Quick Measure utilizes AR spatial tracking to estimate object dimensions and distance.
According to Samsung, both applications will lose Galaxy Store availability and will not receive compatibility updates for future Android operating system builds, with the sunset expected to coincide with the rollout of stable One UI 9 builds. Users who currently have the applications installed on supported devices will retain basic functionality until future software updates render the apps incompatible.
