Commenting on the incident, Afridi noted that while an inquiry report has been released, officials suspended, and criminal proceedings ordered, no administrative action can ever bring back the innocent lives lost in the tragedy. Directly questioning those in power, the former all-rounder asked why politicians and rulers do not send their own children to government-run hospitals and schools if these facilities are truly as high-quality as claimed.
