While the expansion confirms the continuation of the mainstream Galaxy Z Flip line, insider reports indicate that Samsung may drop plans for the budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip FE.
The move emphasizes new aspect ratios tailored for media consumption. While the Z Fold 8 maintains a 4:3 wide-screen orientation and the Z Fold 8 Ultra uses a near-square 9:10 display, Samsung’s upcoming foldable designs aim to better accommodate standard 16:9 and cinematic 21:9 video formats.
