– A major traffic accident involving multiple vehicles, including a passenger bus, has left one person dead and 30 others injured on the M2 Motorway near Capital Smart City.
The incident, which took place during heavy rainfall, prompted an immediate response from Rescue 1122 and Motorway Police. The deceased was identified as Shams-ur-Rehman, a resident of Attock.
Emergency teams transported 27 injured individuals to PIMS Hospital and three to Shifa International Hospital, while others received on-site medical assistance. Authorities have attributed the collision to the adverse weather conditions and slippery roads. An investigation into the incident is underway.
Motorway Police are urging motorists to exercise extreme caution while driving in rainy weather conditions.
