: Contrary to Modi’s claims of a “Shining India,” Indian youth are severely affected by profound crises of unemployment and a lack of education.
According to the Indian publication The Wire, official government surveys reveal that in 250 districts, 25 percent of the youth are completely deprived of both education and employment. Furthermore, only 7 percent of graduates in India manage to secure jobs within a year, while 93 percent fail to find employment.
The Wire also noted that Professor Sonalde Desai, an expert in economic research, expressed deep concern over the escalating unemployment rates during Modi’s tenure. Additionally, data from an Indian think tank indicates that roughly 87 million young individuals aged 15 to 29 lack access to educational and employment opportunities. Consequently, the future of these youth caught in the grip of unemployment and academic turmoil appears to be sacrificed to Modi’s political agenda.
