: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran, where both sides reiterated their commitment to enhancing economic and regional cooperation.
According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, President Pezeshkian described Pakistan and Iran as two powerful nations in the region possessing vast human potentials and rich resources, which can be jointly utilized to fulfill multiple necessities. He noted that by combining their capabilities, both countries can rely on domestic and regional resources to meet their requirements. Referring to the continuous high-level contacts over the past few months, the Iranian President highlighted that frequent meetings between officials of the two Muslim nations clearly demonstrate ongoing engagement, particularly in the context of growing U.S. interference in the region.
President Pezeshkian emphasized the need to expand cooperation in trade, energy, tourism, and joint investment, stating that closer ties and shared investments will further strengthen relations between Tehran and Islamabad. He added that facilitating economic cooperation and widening bilateral contacts will deepen ties between the neighboring countries.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated that Pakistan-Iran relations have never been at a higher level than they are currently, and Islamabad remains fully determined to promote bilateral ties and multi-sector cooperation with Tehran. Naqvi stressed the expansion of cooperation not just in trade and economy, but also in tourism, politics, culture, and science, affirming Pakistan’s readiness to reinforce mutual links across all these domains.
