Citizens across Sindh have increasingly voiced their support for the formation of new administrative provinces, viewing it as the only viable solution to persistent local grievances. Public sentiment, particularly across major urban centers like Karachi, Hyderabad, and Larkana, reflects deep-seated frustration regarding governance and civic neglect.
In Karachi, residents have strongly demanded that the metropolis either be granted provincial status or placed directly under federal administration. Citizens pointed out that Karachi continues to suffer from severe shortages of basic amenities, with chronic disruptions in water, electricity, and gas supplies making daily life increasingly difficult.
Similar discontent is echoed in other parts of the province. In Larkana, residents expressed dismay that local development projects remain confined to hollow political claims with zero visible progress on the ground. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, citizens highlighted that despite the allocation of billions of rupees in development funds, safe drinking water remains largely unavailable to the public.
Growing public unease over compounding urban challenges indicates an urgent administrative consensus among residents that dividing larger provinces along functional and administrative lines has become a pressing necessity.
