Security personnel at New Islamabad International Airport opened fire on a suspicious, high-speed vehicle after the driver refused to stop at the main entrance checkpoint, resulting in two occupants being critically injured.
According to details, Airport Security Force (ASF) officials signaled a speeding car to halt as it approached the primary access gate. When the driver defied orders and attempted to force entry, personnel engaged the vehicle to neutralize the potential security threat. The resulting gunfire broke the vehicle’s windshield and severely wounded the two occupants, identified as Rahmatullah and Abdul Jabbar. Both individuals were immediately shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where their condition is reported to be critical.
Sources confirmed that one of the suspects hails from Dera Ghazi Khan, while the second is a wanted proclaimed offender linked to the Kohlo police station in Balochistan. Law enforcement agencies have secured the scene and initiated a detailed investigation into the incident.
