The Green Pakistan Initiative (GPI) has achieved major progress in transforming Balochistan’s agricultural sector, converting thousands of acres of uncultivated land into high-yield farmland to empower local farmers and strengthen regional economic self-reliance.
Under Phase 1 of the initiative, 3,800 acres of land were successfully made arable across Dukki, Killa Saifullah, and Sibi, supported by the installation of 144 solar-powered tube wells. Expanding on this success, Phase 2 reclaimed an additional 8,481 acres across Kohlu, Barkhan, Chaman, Nushki, Dera Bugti, Zhob, Mastung, Quetta, and Killa Saifullah. Combined, the two phases have directly benefited 288 local landowners.
