Expressing deep concern, Mirza noted that unauthorized use of someone’s face is alarming, pointing out that today it happens to a public figure, but tomorrow it could endanger the dignity and reputation of any ordinary girl who isn’t even active online.
Weighing in on the issue, Punjab Assembly Member Hina Parvez Butt strongly condemned the misuse of artificial intelligence to violate personal privacy and honor. She urged victims not to brush off such incidents as harmless online occurrences, recommending instead that they preserve screenshots or original links without spreading them further. Butt emphasized that such cases must be formally reported to cybercrime authorities, while also highlighting that women in Punjab can seek guidance from the Punjab Women Protection Authority.
