District and Sessions Judge Tariq Khurshid Khawaja has issued a strict directive prohibiting judicial officers in Lahore from installing green registration plates, blue emergency lights, or official emblems on their monetized personal vehicles.
According to an official circular released by the session judge, the decision aims to stop the misuse of judicial identity markers that create the misleading impression of government-owned transport. Under the new regulations, judicial officers are explicitly barred from applying green license plates or displaying official titles on private automobiles.
Furthermore, the directive mandates the immediate removal of all monograms, logos, seals, stickers, or badges representing the Lahore High Court or the Punjab District Judiciary from private cars. The circular also strictly bans the installation of blue beacon lights, revolving lights, or flashers on monetized vehicles, warning of regulatory consequences for non-compliance.
