The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a significant upward revision in the prices of petroleum products effective immediately from midnight, responding to rising crude rates in the international market.
According to the official notification, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs 4.42 per liter, bringing the new rate to Rs 380.24. Meanwhile, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has experienced a sharper hike of Rs 6.10 per liter, pushing its retail price to Rs 409.42 per liter.
Industry experts note that domestic fuel prices in Pakistan are adjusted fortnightly in accordance with global oil market trends and currency fluctuations, with recent upward pressure in international benchmarks driving the latest round of domestic price increases.
