The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a slight reduction in petroleum product prices for the next two days, effective midnight, according to a notification issued by the Ministry of Finance.
Under the revised pricing framework valid through August 10, petrol prices have been reduced by Rs. 2.20 per liter, bringing the new price to Rs. 327.62 per liter. Similarly, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) was cut by Rs. 1.50 per liter, setting the new price at Rs. 380.86 per liter.
Despite the marginal price relief, the Petroleum Division confirmed an increase of 81 paisa in the Petroleum Development Levy (PDL) on diesel, raising the levy from Rs. 73.47 to Rs. 74.28 per liter. Meanwhile, the petroleum levy on petrol remains unchanged at the maximum capped rate of Rs. 80 per liter.
