President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has officially approved several crucial summaries and legislative bills, alongside bestowing a prestigious national gallantry award on a healthcare worker for exceptional bravery.
Among the approved legislative measures and organizational summaries are the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) Amendment Bill 2026, the Standard Time (Interpretation of References) Amendment Bill 2026, and the bill concerning the environmentally sound management of hazardous materials in ships (2026). Additionally, approval was granted for the revision of the Table of Organization and Equipment (TOE) for the Armed Forces Institute of Urology (AFIU) in Rawalpindi.
In a poignant recognition of extraordinary heroism, President Zardari approved the conferment of the Tamgha-e-Shujaat upon Razia Noreen, a staff nurse at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS). Noreen displayed remarkable courage by risking her own life during a fire breakout at PIMS to safely rescue the sole surviving newborn infant from the danger .
