The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bahrain released an official response characterizing the aerial targeting of Saudi oil facilities—allegedly launched by regional armed groups—as a direct threat to the stability of the Middle East. Officials emphasized that actions jeopardizing critical infrastructure undermine ongoing international efforts aimed at de-escalation and regional peace.
Reaffirming its unwavering alignment with Riyadh, Bahrain reiterated its support for any defense or legal protocols Saudi Arabia opts to enforce to safeguard its sovereign territory and vital economic sectors.
Concurrently, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary-General of the GCC, echoed these concerns, describing the persistent strikes originating from regional proxy groups as a high-risk escalation. He stressed that compromising Saudi Arabia’s security is an explicit violation of international norms and poses an immediate danger to collective regional safety.
The GCC leadership assured that member states remain unified alongside Saudi Arabia, endorsing all necessary protective measures adopted by the Kingdom.
