/Seven Swedish soldiers were severely injured in an explosion at a military training area in southwestern Sweden and were immediately rushed to the hospital.
Swedish television reported that the victims were male personnel in their 20s and 30s. Five of them were in intensive care with severe injuries, though their conditions were not considered life-threatening. The armed forces stated that they were being treated for shrapnel wounds, among other injuries, while the other two sustained minor injuries.
The incident occurred near the town of Karlsborg at the Kräks military training area while the personnel were clearing old ammunition. Police stated that they are investigating the scene and working closely with rescue services, medical teams, and the military at the site.
