Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Russian military forces likely utilized North Korean-produced ballistic missiles during a heavy overnight bombardment targeting Kyiv and several other major cities.
According to global reports, the combined missile and drone offensive resulted in at least 13 casualties and dozens of injuries. In an official briefing, Zelenskyy noted that initial intelligence indicates some of the munitions originated from Pyongyang. Technical experts and forensic defense teams are currently analyzing wreckage retrieved from strike sites to determine the exact technical signatures of the weapons.
Allegations concerning arms cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang have surfaced repeatedly throughout the war, with Western intelligence agencies previously pointing to arms transfers. However, both Russia and North Korea continue to strongly deny these accusations, calling them baseless Western propaganda.
Defence analysts suggest that if technical evaluations confirm the deployment of North Korean ballistic technology, it would mark a significant escalation in bilateral defense collusion, exacerbating both military and diplomatic challenges across Europe.
