New Saudi Airline Backed by Air Arabia Consortium Receives AOC, Sets Launch for September 20.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has officially issued an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to a major consortium comprising Air Arabia Group, Nesma Group, and KUN Holding. The regulatory approval clears the path for the Kingdom’s newest low-cost national carrier to launch flight operations on September 20, 2026, operating out of King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.The majority Saudi-owned airline will deploy Airbus A320 aircraft to establish its inaugural domestic network. Starting September 20, the carrier will operate twice-daily flights connecting Dammam to Riyadh and Jeddah, alongside a daily service to Madinah. Ticket reservations are currently live across official portals, call centers, and travel agencies.
