Technology giant Google has officially announced its September Android Drop, introducing five new features designed to enhance AI utility, navigation, and user customization.
The latest update introduces an integrated Gemini feature allowing users to ask the AI assistant for the location of key personal items, automatically saving those coordinates within Google’s Find Hub. The feature will be accessible on Android 16 and above in regions where Gemini and Find Hub operate. For travelers, Motion Assist will display subtle moving onscreen bubbles during vehicular movement to alleviate motion sickness, available on Android 17 via Quick Settings or automated activation.
Additionally, Guided Vision via Gemini Live leverages smartphone cameras on Android 9+ devices to assist users in reading fine print, viewing menus in low-light environments, and identifying objects through real-time voice feedback. For messaging, Google Messages now supports direct sharing and editing of Google Keep grocery lists and notes within chats, alongside customizable individual chat wallpapers and color themes.
