Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi criticized Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari over administrative road blockages encountered during his entry into Karachi.
Addressing Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters at the Karachi Toll Plaza alongside PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh and senior leader Salman Akram Raja, Afridi highlighted that despite receiving a public welcome via social media from Bilawal Bhutto Zardari the previous day, his convoy faced police containers and highway blockades, forcing them to take alternate routes. Afridi characterized Karachi as historically neglected by political leadership and urged citizens to participate in nationwide protests scheduled for September 27 to demand governance reforms and the release of Imran Khan.
PTI Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh reported that 135 party workers were detained prior to the rally, while senior leader Salman Akram Raja criticized the federal and provincial administrations, calling for judicial independence and press freedom.
