Lahore High Court (LHC) judge Justice Raheel Kamran Sheikh has officially resigned from his post prior to his scheduled retirement in 2036. Justice Raheel Kamran was elevated to the bench on May 7, 2021.
In his resignation statement, Justice Raheel Kamran expressed that serving as a judge of the High Court was an honor and a matter of immense pride. Reflecting on his tenure, he noted that his years on the bench were among the most fulfilling of his professional career, adding that he leaves the office with an unshakeable commitment to the Constitution and the rule of law.
Following his stepping down, Justice Raheel Kamran announced his decision to focus on legal scholarship, policy research, and comparative judicial practice.
