.The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has entered into a landmark memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Tech Valley Pakistan, Google’s official local partner, to digitize administrative operations, enhance athlete training, and boost fan engagement. The formal signing ceremony took place in Islamabad, featuring PHF President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani and Tech Valley Founder and CEO Umar Farooq, alongside global representatives from Google.
Under this three-year agreement, Tech Valley will serve as the official digital transformation partner for the PHF. The collaboration aims to streamline communication and digital record-keeping across regional associations and selection committees by centralizing past match details, player profiles, and administrative files. Furthermore, the initiative introduces a centralized digital database to track athlete performance, fitness, and medical history from grassroots clubs to the national team.
Coaching staff will also gain access to advanced AI and analytical tools to evaluate player capabilities, review match footage, and strategize against opponents. The MoU outlines comprehensive training and certification programs for managers and coaches, while regional academies will receive digital training for match reporting and player registration. Although the initial MoU carries no financial obligations, separate agreements will be finalized for software licensing and technical deployment as the project rolls out.
