Pakistan Agricultural Experts to Visit Riyadh Soon to Boost Bilateral Cooperation
PM Expresses Satisfaction Over Growing Agricultural Exports to Saudi Arabia
Makkah Joint Defense Pact Strengthens Regional Peace and Unity, Says Prime Minister.
ISLAMABAD: Saudi Minister for Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley, called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House in Islamabad today. Welcoming the Saudi delegation, the Prime Minister highlighted the deep brotherly relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and conveyed his best wishes for Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
PM Shehbaz Sharif noted that the recently finalized Makkah Joint Defense Agreement between Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Pakistan has brought the three nations closer, sending a strong message of unity and peace across the region. Emphasizing that both countries are strategic partners, he urged expanding cooperation into economic and agricultural sectors to transform their long-standing relationship into a robust trade and investment partnership for mutual benefit.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation, particularly regarding Pakistan’s agricultural exports to Saudi Arabia. Both sides discussed boosting Pakistan’s agricultural yield through technology sharing, joint research and development, and efficient water management. The PM announced that a delegation of Pakistani agricultural experts will visit Riyadh soon to advance these initiatives.
Minister Al-Fadley expressed gratitude for the warm reception and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enhancing collaboration in agriculture, water, and food security. The meeting was attended by Federal Ministers Rana Tanveer Hussain, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Attaullah Tarar, Jam Kamal Khan, Dr. Musadik Malik, Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, Dr. Syed Tauqir Shah, Bilal Azhar Kayani, SAPM Tariq Fatemi, and other senior officials.
