In a historic milestone for Surab District in Balochistan, the local administration convened the area’s first-ever Grand Khuli Katchehry (Open Court) specifically organized for women, presided over by Deputy Commissioner Sahibzada Najeebullah.
The public hearing drew hundreds of participants, including female teachers, students, and local residents. Attendees presented key grievances and civic demands regarding electricity, natural gas, Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) coverage, nutrition initiatives, public libraries, healthcare, education, clean drinking water, NADRA registration, and dedicated recreational areas for families. FC Balochistan 61 Wing Commander Colonel Syed Fakhar Rafique Talha, Additional Deputy Commissioner Salman Ali Buledi, and other senior district officers were also in attendance.
Addressing the forum, Deputy Commissioner Sahibzada Najeebullah directed departmental heads to take immediate corrective measures on all submitted petitions. He emphasized that addressing women’s issues and delivering essential civic services remain top administrative priorities under the district development agenda.
