American apparel manufacturer HercLéon has introduced a novel self-cleaning t-shirt designed to be worn continuously for 30 consecutive days without requiring laundering or producing body odor.
Dubbed the V5.0 Herc Shirt, the garment utilizes an advanced blend of functional materials to maintain freshness over extended wear. According to technical specifications provided by the company, the fabric incorporates copper, zinc, and volcanic ash to combat odor-causing factors. Copper inhibits bacterial growth on the textile fibers, while zinc neutralizes sulfur compounds derived from human sweat. Additionally, volcanic ash particles absorb excess moisture and external environmental odors.
HercLéon states that reducing washing frequency significantly extends the lifespan of the garment compared to conventional t-shirts while conserving water. Retailing at an introductory price of $79 USD, deliveries are scheduled to begin in early November. The shirt will initially launch in black, with navy blue, burgundy, and dark green color options planned for subsequent production runs.
