: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine is prepared to de-escalate its ongoing conflict with Russia on the condition that Moscow halts attacks on critical infrastructure and energy installations.
The announcement follows recent remarks by Donald Trump, who condemned Ukrainian drone strikes targeting Russian oil refineries and blamed them for driving up international fuel prices and causing diesel shortages. Trump previously asserted that both nations had agreed to refrain from targeting each other’s energy infrastructure.
While Moscow has not yet issued a formal response, Zelenskyy highlighted the United States’ proposal for a mutual cessation of strikes on critical infrastructure during his daily national address, reiterating Kyiv’s willingness to pursue a reduction in hostilities if reciprocal commitments are strictly honored by Russia.
