Federal Minister for Energy Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari stated that Pakistan’s energy sector is undergoing a historic transition, where the main challenge is no longer power generation, but effective utilization and grid storage.
Addressing the “Solar, Storage & Flexibility 2026 Conference,” the minister highlighted that Pakistan’s solar power capacity has reached nearly 38,000 MW, creating daytime surpluses alongside high evening demand.
