Iranian military forces launched a coordinated barrage of ballistic missiles and drones targeting opposition bases in Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdistan Region near the capital, Erbil.
Security sources confirmed that the strikes targeted facilities belonging to Iranian-Kurdish opposition groups in surrounding districts, including Soran, Khalifan, Harir, and the Balisan area. At least four drones crashed or were intercepted in Erbil province following the aerial engagement. Initial reports confirm no casualties or major structural damage, as several targeted sites had been preemptively evacuated.
