The Saudi Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA), has officially rolled out a series of mega-development projects aimed at boosting global visitor arrivals under the kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy. As part of this expansion, new luxury resorts and infrastructure have opened across landmark sites, including the Red Sea Project and Diriyah. The initiative is designed to help Saudi Arabia achieve its long-term target of welcoming 150 million domestic and international tourists annually.
To support this growth, Saudi tourism authorities have streamlined travel logistics for visitors and pilgrims originating from South Asian markets, including Pakistan, alongside Southeast Asian nations. A unified digital “Package Visa” system now allows travelers to consolidate their entry visa, airline bookings, and hotel reservations into a single online transaction portal, eliminating multi-step application procedures for inbound visitors.
