The Balochistan government has enforced Section 144 across the entire province for a period of 30 days, effective immediately from September 23, 2026, to safeguard public life and property and maintain law and order.
According to Advisor to the Home Department Babar Yousafzai, the restrictions prohibit all forms of weapon displays, public gatherings, and processions in public spaces. The order bans gatherings of five or more people, sit-ins, rallies, demonstrations, and similar activities in public areas. Additionally, wearing face coverings, veils, or using any method that obstructs personal identification in public spaces has been strictly outlawed.
Authorities have directed law enforcement agencies and district administrations to ensure strict implementation of these measures, warning that legal action will be taken against anyone violating the directives. The government stated that these steps are aimed at preserving peace, public tranquility, and the safety of citizens.
